    The Fabulous Grease Band and will be sharing the “Best of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s” at the East Brandywine Summer Concert Series in the East Brandywine Community Park (link below) starting at 6:30 pm.

    Maggie Moos will be selling their sweet treats. Sabatino’s Grill will offer pizza, steak sandwiches, cheeseburgers and more beginning at 6:00.

      Lift Ticket Options

      Registration is open to BVSA members only thru June 30.  Open to all others July 1.

      Land Only Passengers: In the event participants choose air that is not part of the air arrangement as offered in the package, the following conditions will apply. 1) Transfers be tween airports and hotels are always arranged for the main group and are coordinated with the main groups flight itineraries. 2) The transfers also pick up and drop off only at airport terminals that are in the main group’s itineraries. Transfers do not stop at alternate terminals for pick ups or drop offs. 3) It is the responsibility of such passengers to coordinate their flights with the main group and be at the appointed place and time the group is being picked up at. 4) There can be no special arrangements made for passengers for alternate pickups or drop offs by the transfer companies involved. 5) All of the above is equally applicable to any luggage for such passengers. 6) BVSA cannot offer credit for transfers that are not being used in our packages.

      Cancellation/Refund Policy: All cancellations must be in writing (email) delivered to the trip leader. Full Refund less $75 club fee will only be possible until 8/18/26 provided the minimum number of participants have signed up after which the member is liable for any cancellation expense the club incurs. The trip leader trip leader will attempt to fill the cancelled spot from the waiting list first. If the spot cannot be filled from the waiting list, after confirming with the trip leader, the person cancelling may attempt to find a replacement at full or discounted cost, with the cancelling participant taking any loss incurred.

      Trip Insurance Trip cancellation insurance is available and is highly recommended. The premium depends on the amount of coverage desired and is based on the tour cost as indicated and could cover all non-refundable amounts in the event of a covered cancellation or trip interruption.

      BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE: DOMESTIC FLIGHTS: Before embarking on this tour it is important that each tour member be fully aware of the baggage restrictions. As of today, the following fees apply for checked baggage on American Airlines:

      • First checked bag:         $45.00 
      • Second Checked bag:    $55.00 
      • 1 Carry on and 1 Personal item are allowed on board as long as those items fit in the overhead or under the seat.

      American will allow 1 ski bag and 1 boot bag to count as one piece of equipment:

      • Up to two pairs of snow skis and associated equipment in one bag and one ski boot bag. If the combined weight of the ski bag & boot bag is over 50 pounds (23 kg), applicable overweight fee apply. 
      • A boot bag without an accompanied ski bag is considered one bag and normal baggage fees apply.

      What to do when not skiing?

      • Scenic Tram to High Camp One of the best non-ski experiences in Tahoe. The tram climbs about 2,000 vertical feet to High Camp, where you'll get panoramic Sierra Nevada views, restaurants, and winter activities.  
      • Ice Skating The High Camp skating rink is one of the more scenic outdoor rinks in the region and is accessible via the tram.  
      • Snow Tubing A favorite for families and anyone looking for some winter fun without learning to ski. Palisades offers tubing lanes near the beginner area.  
      • Snowshoeing Several guided and self-guided snowshoe options are available around Olympic Valley, including occasional specialty tours.The Everline offers snowshoe rentals and guided tours. Explore the resort's meadow trails. Venture into nearby forested terrain with a guide.Suitable even for beginners. The resort Recreation Center can arrange everything for you.
      • Village Shopping & Après-Ski Atmosphere The Village has shops, galleries, cafés, bars, and restaurants, making it enjoyable even if you never step onto a lift.  
      • Snowmobile Tours are one of the most popular non-ski winter activities in the Tahoe region. Coldstream Adventure Tours in nearby Truckee is an excellent option close by.

      • Cross-Country Skiing The Everline operates its own Nordic ski center with more than 10 km of groomed trails winding through Olympic Valley. Rentals and trail access are available on-site, making it ideal for a half-day outing without getting in a car.

      • The Everline Hotel & SPA is the perfect place to visit for a day of relaxation and pampering to soothe those aching muscles. The full service SPA offers massages, high-tech skincare facials, nourishing bodywraps, and couples retreats. Sauna and steam rooms are also available as well as other SPA amenities.
      • Casinos 
      • The closest casinos are the North Shore casinos (Crystal Bay Club or Grand Lodge Casino) easily accessed entirely via public transit by making one transfer. 
      • A day trip to the Reno casinos is possible by taking the North Lake Tahoe Express airport shuttle from the hotel to the Reno airport and catching one of the free Casino shuttles from the airport. The airport shuttle can be as low as $55 one way with 5 or more people traveling.

              Activities for Non-Skiers (and for Skiers Taking a rest day!)

              Possible Excursions from Grindelwald:

              • Bern Daytrip-As the capital of Switzerland, the Old Town sits on a peninsula on 3 sides. With low visitor numbers and an efficient tram & bus system, it's a perfect city stop. Easily access the Alps, lakes and other cities. Grab a coffee and your favorite pastry and take your pick of history, art museums, or shopping. We are considering renting a bus/van if enough interest. 
              • Lauterbrunnen Valley - picturesque towns with some of the best waterfalls in Switzerland
              • Interlaken & Harder Kulm- 30 min drive, and a 1-2 hrs hike for a breathtaking panorama (depending on your fitness level) Unfortunately, the funicular is closed in winter. 
              • Jungfraujoch- Top Of Europe, Take the Eiger Express gondola, then catch the historic cogwheel train up to the highest railway station in Europe. Explore the Ice Palace tunnels, step onto the snowy plateau, and take in the panoramic Sphinx Observatory views.
              • Grindelwald First- a 25 minute gondola ride straight from the village center takes you to this adventure summit. Walk the metal -grated First Cliff Walk by Tissot suspended over the drop,or hike the 1 hour winter trail to the frozen packed Bachalpsee lake.  

              Other Activities in Grindelwald:

              • Big Pintenfritz-The Big Pintenfritz Sled Run is one of the longest toboggan runs in Europe, stretching roughly 9 miles. 
              • Cross Country skiing- 9 miles, 10,5 miles of skating. Easily accessible by bus or train, car parking also available. No night trails. 
              • Fondue Floats-chocolate or cheese, both including wine, on Lake Brienz
              • Relaxation in the Eiger Village-Grindelwald offers a wide range of spa and relaxation options
